Dr Alison Edwards

Dr Alison Edwards has been a Rural General Practitioner in Port Broughton, South Australia since 1994. She is a GP Anaesthetist and supports the local Ambulance volunteers as a Rural Emergency Responder. She has been involved medico-politically over this time with roles on boards and committees of a range of organisations including the RDASA, AMA(SA), Rural Doctors Workforce Agency, Country North SA Medicare Local and local, State and National Divisions bodies. She is currently Board Chair of Country SA PHN, Presiding Member of the Port Broughton District Hospital and Health Services Health Advisory Council, and a Director of GPEx (SA GP Training organisation). She blogs about the personal experience of grief among health professionals at docgrief.wordpress.com. She also runs and cycles a bit.
